Im looking into cameras too, hopefully a cheap one around 100 bucks to take to AX next week. At targets around my area, there is a Nikon Coolpix S6000 that is just over 100 bucks (its being clearanced out). It should be a good camera, being a Nikon and all.
Sony CyberShots tend to be pretty decent point and shoot cameras. I have an old old (~6 years old) CyberShot that has a measly 5 megapixels, but it takes really decent images, specially for how old it is.
Since you found the Coolpix at both stores, go to Frys with the an image of Targets pricetag, and they should price match, and beat it by 10% (iirc that is). You can do this with any other cameras you find at both as well, but they have to be the same exact model.
