When stuff starts costing 6 G per level (and rapidly rises, to boot), you know something's wrong.
That's not the only thing they should change, too. As mentioned earlier, levelling up your expertises makes the knowledge points less valuable as you progress into higher level brackets, as follows:

Lv6~10: 2 points required
Lv11~15: 3 points required

I say they make all expertise levels require only 1 point. Whether they nerf the expertises or not (they're already lulzy enough but...) is none of my business.
