MMOs are a unique genre in that they are constantly updated and they reward continuous time investment. They're not like a regular RPG where you play through one and you move onto another one. So when a new MMO comes out, it has to be different and exciting to raise my interest. What I see happening is, every time someone posts about some new MMO, everyone's like "Wow cool! This is going to be so different and exciting!" and then someone has to ask, "What's different and exciting about it?" And then you get a miserably boring response. Why are you grouping every MMORPG game up as one entity, regardless of difference in gameplay? All that's doing is making your expectations obscenely high, which will lead to massive disappointment

If you mean like, the gameplay value is separated into sub-categories, then I understand where you're going.
