You're clearly missing the point, so I'll let you read and reread my post again:
I've had experience before. It's difficult to do. Actually trying will deter him the same way that trying deters most people. I think he's going to fail and fail over again. Besides, I'm not encouraging him to try to commit suicide anyways. I'm just stating my observation that most people do end up failing.
