It reminds me of the Mario Tennis/Golf for the GBC. They were RPGs where you levelled your character and using the transfer pak you could play them on the N64 version. That was awesome so if its anything like that Im all for it.

And um, while I'd like a regular Smash game on each console, a Nintendo crossover RPG could turn out wonderfully...
