In DotA ANY hero can achieve invisibility even really really early game.
In DotA, the carry is supposed to farm all day then decimate the other team like a fking rambo. Knowing that you'll only get the opportunity once every 5 games to be OMGAWSHUM is apparently not as fun as probably becoming fed and steamrolling potentially 4 out of every 5 games.
