Doesn't this happen all the time anyways? Buy during the hype, sell after the reveal, or something.
1st set of rules for the stock market (and economy in general): buy low; sell high. In the case you mentioned, you are assuming that the Wii 2 is going to do just as well as its predecessor.
I'll buy it if i have cash; otherwise i probably won't buy it until it goes into gamecube status (as in old and just about to go to the next generation) and be cheaper than the Wii motes and games.
