He still used it, as did his forumer's, I think being the only website to, dependent on the moderator, allow bypass of the filter.

I think there was recently a big thing in the site section about the reasoning, and considering SP no longer dealt with private servers/eos becoming lead, mrbasil really had no argument at that point.

Totally false. They put the censor up because we received the DMCA, and the DMCA had nothing to do with private servers. It was because the "database" we were using was entirely raw data which Nexon didn't like. Basilmarket didn't want to be associated with a website that received a DMCA notice. However, Southperry was (and still is) a good source of information, so they didn't want to outright ban a source of information that many basilers used. So it entered a weird quasi-banned state where it was banned officially but still allowed to be posted.

As a matter of fact, mrbasil was going to begin talking with me about possibly removing the censor last year but then I stepped down, so he wasn't able to speak to me about it.
