It's not a choice? My own dad started eating healthier after he developed Acid Reflux. He used to not like his veggies that much, he'd eat them but wasn't a fan. Now, he loves a big salad with all sorts of fruits and veggies. Chemical? I think the chemicals in the foods we eat are taken in and processed and interpreted but I wouldn't say that we are hardwired to not like certain foods. Some people even like brussel sprouts! Blechhhh.

As for attraction, I honestly cannot speak of the matter as I don't know what chemical links there may or may not be. Saying it's just innate though seems a bit presumptuous. I'd chalk it up to a mixture of nature vs nurture, which is where I stand on many issues like this.
