You're being quite closed minded about this; the brain is MUCH more complicated then that, and humans as a whole are just beginning to understand it - we haven't even scratched the surface. The STRUCTURE and SHAPE of their brain is DIFFERENT. That effects many more hormones than just testosterone! That effects more then just hormones as well, it effects how they process things and how their brain functions and much more than I could even begin to explain and understand. There is no ONE CAUSE for being homosexual, it's a cumulative effect. Just as there is no ONE CAUSE for developing heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, and many other diseases. Biology isn't as simple as many people believe and want it to be. Every human, every living thing is complex. Homosexuals are born that way; there is no choice.
"There is completely and blatantly no evidence that homosexuality isn't a choice. " Did you even scan through that Wikipedia article? Your statement is false. Please read these studies
Oh pineapple me, this pomegranate again.
It's one study it is misquoted more often than it is quoted correctly.
The original study made no deteremination of causality. It isn't known which is the cause. I'll digg up an interview with one of the key researchers...
The scent study i have not seen much. and i havent seen the data itself at all. They do claim they have cause but the only proof i find for that is the assertion of Michael G. DeGroote. He finds a difference and just assumes that it must hold causality. Despite the more famous "gay brain" study by Simon LeVay (circa '91 quite literally the study that first gave any sort of evidence to a physical difference in the brains of gay and straight men. You could say it started all this. Oh and one thing to note is a quick inaccuracy in the wiki. the size of the INAH3 in gay men is not the same as women, but the proportion. That is besides the point as i don't have time or care to proofread a wiki article) and followed up with a bit more research and thoroughness by one of his biggests critics William Byne. Byne confirmed LeVay's findings in that INAH3 did in fact exist and that In homosexual it was not on average, proportionate to the control group. So that part is confirmed. It's science, real facts. Things you can straight up go look at. What is not science, however, is the media pomegranate storm that followed. Things saying that a genetic difference was found and that the shape of the brain was different (sort of true but that's a pretty big spin when one considers the size of the INAH3. since i'm lazy and i found the article i was looking for initially, well you can read the thoughts of LeVay on exactly what his study found. Summary: He stresses that he didn't show that the difference is a cause or an effect as well as that the difference is not necessarily genetic as his study has nothing to do with genetics. This new swedish scent study seems to just find another possible correlation and instead of behaving like scientists they behave like media whores who need money for funding and claim it's a cause. Reeks of bullshit. Also the gay sheep article is just... find me another source and i'll try and finish it.
Differences in homo and hetero adults = genetic differences. Science hasn't really proved that you are or aren't born gay just yet. So please, lay off the media driven articles when you're thinking something has been proven. A.k.a. when the gay gene is found and traced, not when it is hypothesized.
