Did the internet partially kill gaming?

Even though most of nintendo games are gimmicky they are at least original

Could you expand on that statement...

Because Mario 64 "remakes" and Zelda Ocarina of time "remakes" have basically been Nintendo's safety pillow for a while.

And even some of the original ones have the same basic formula, that being: collect x amount of something to save the current location.
