Internet forum for a child's video game or not, there are still feelings. People have feelings -- some can be more affected by them and you are real people on the other side of the screen, right? You, as a real Human being, putting him down affects him in real life, whether you think he should be affected by it or not. Give the guy a break.
As for the topic at hand : Sorry, Chris. I'm not experienced in this either. I wish I could help, but I've never had a girlfriend or anyone interested in me at all to give you advice about anything. =/
