The only reason I shower, is because my hair gets really itchy and greasy if i don't even do it for one day( I have long hair), it gets extremely annoying to tolerate, and there is the natural thought that you wouldn't want to burden someone else with going near you and having to take time out of their day to smell how disgusting you smell.
This is not about something so extreme though, this is about liking things that we enjoy and how we present that into society. Unless I go and grab my friends by the shirt and say ''I LIKE MAPLESTORY, PLAY IT'' 30 times a day, or anything stupid like that, I always tell then ''I like games'', and ''I play Maplestory''. I have never had anyone perform a stage-comedy to show how funny they sound telling me the things I like are garbage.
If I go up to a boy, and he tells me he likes Knitting, what am I gonna do, call him a papaya and that knitting is something he should be embarrassed about? Now, if this boy came up to me and said ''CRONNO, YOU GOTTA TRY KNITTING IT'S SO FUN'', and I tell him ''No thanks'' and he persistently shoves it in my face, this is a different story. But I do not find any embarrassment or anything to even be ashamed of in this act.
