Given that it's a Korean game I think it's to be expected that most of the basis will be in Korean influences. And while Perion does represent Native Americans in some ways, it's a pretty stereotypical treatment and doesn't go very specific.
While it is Internet culture in some cases, it is specifically English culture. I doubt they talk about "cc plz" and "noob" in Korean, they have their own internetisms. Global covers most of the English speaking "Western" world right now, to reflect the "global" concept it includes most of the world, as seen from that Western perspective. We're gonna get kung fu movie ninjas, American legendary creatures (Bigfoot, Headless Horseman, some sort of New York area monster was referred to at one point, Hallowe'en is also American), other historical objects from Europe(menhirs) and European fantasy castles with catacombs and undead creatures lurking deep within them. Not sure if the badlands intentionally refer to Australia, we'll have to see. I'm not sure about the logic of calling it Masteria, but Zipangu is also a continent rather than a place. Maybe they didn't want to limit themselves by picking a specific region (such as Camelot), or Pangaea/Gondwanaland - both way earlier than human habitation.
Zipangu has quests ranging from Sleepywood to Aqua Road to Ludibrium to Omega Sector, no more out of place than the Masteria quests that involve other continents. Most of the time you stay in Masteria and do Masterian things, sometimes they indicate (for example) that the Alien Grays found something or took something they need. Not that much different from collecting Sealed Pouches or Teddy Stuffing from Ludibrium, or Baby Seal Toys from Aqua.
