If those don't become completely obsolete(btw, this class does have a summon) that's even more skills to add to this class's roster.
Although on the uniqueness feature I would agree, nothing really unique about this class, I believe that ''uniqueness'' left this game as soon as Pirates were introduced. While Aran's combo system is unique to Maple itself, it's not completely unheard of. Evan is just, well, some kid with a dragon familiar. Battle mages are basically mages with skills that look like physical attacks(that is not to say that they suck), mechanics aren't too unique, wild hunters would be debatable imo.
Although this class doesn't have the ''OMFGROAWNEWAWESOMCLASS'' feel to it, it's not something I'm angry with, and it looks like a ranged class I'd actually be happy to main. The only thing I really could have asked for is a few physical skills(even if they're not the main attacking skills). It makes no sense that this class would not be able to melee the crap out of stuff with it's big gun.
This makes two times now, that you've taken the words out of my mouth.
Also, for me, one of the reasons I'm interested in this class is because Nexon didn't try so hard to make it something completely new. If we take a look, every time Nexon tried to make a class with a completely new concept they ended up becoming way stronger than they should have been, and they still weren't even that unique. Every "unique" class since pirates have really just been overly well rounded classes that are completely self sufficient (With the exception of Evans, since they can neither heal themselves, nor do they have i-frames; though, they can regenerate mp pretty well.)
While this class doesn't add anything new, their playstyle is still something that I think would be fun, especially since I've mostly stuck with warriors and would find the Cannoneer job to be something completely new while still not straying too far from my own comfort zone (their hp and defense are similar to a warrior's, as well as slow attacks). Not to mention I enjoy anything that's as over the top as this new class's skill animations! Seriously, they shoot a massive drill through mobs of enemies, summon a HUGE drum, and even get to call upon MONKEYS!
