There's a difference between an imperfect metaphor and a metaphor that in no way describes the situation/object which it was intended to represent.

I suppose you don't see what I was demonstrating with my metaphor. What I was trying to get across is that some people deliberately ignore that cold beverages may induce a brain freeze and subsequently impair their ability to function in some capacity, and then try and get something out of that from the owner/person/company that sold them the beverage. It's what we call frivolous litigation.

I think where you are getting caught up is the idea that I was somehow applying that to you. Which isn't something I explicitly did.

Grammar nazism, quotes of comma splices/run-ons/sentence fragments from your own posts, perhaps i'll just settle for addressing the issue of general forum etiquette. That involves things like the minimization of excessive capital letters, using periods and paragraphs....not double posting *cough*. In general, using the language in a proper and understandable way so as to facilitate the optimal and clear concise flow of information to readers.

I'll contextualize that Paladins and Magic Knights are similar, but yet slightly different interpretations of the same idea by two different companies. My context is that i've played LoZ:OOC, Maplestory, and FF games.

I don't think anyone is saying that Paladins are Magic Knights. The debate was whether they were similar, and they are. Games have overlap, there's no reason for one character in one game to not be associated with a similar character in another game.

That is entirely uncalled for. Just because you don't agree with someone elses opinion does, in no way, entitle you to make a statement reflecting their intelligence. Saying, perhaps, "I believe You. Are. Dumb." would more effectively communicate your frustration, while not flagrantly attacking someone. The more appropriate way of addressing this issue, in your shoes, would be to say something along the lines of, "I believe your position in this debate is mistaken, and dumb." In that way you are communicating, in a calm and effective way, that the person isn't dumb but rather their beliefs are mistaken.

My original argument was actually that Paladins aren't close to being the sort of magic warriors that Maplestory is capable of producing, but that was lost in by your insistence on sucking Squeenix's plantain.
