I'm only being a plantain because people think I'm stupid enough to think that 10% isn't 10%.
Think of it this way: you roll a die 15 times and you NEVER get a 6. The chance of you rolling a 6 on the next roll is STILL 1/6, but probability dictates that it is more likely to roll a 6 since each side has equal probabilities and 6 has not yet been rolled. 10% is 10% and that will never change, just like the 1/6 chance.
Sure, this is a crappy analogy, but in the end, I spend more meso, use more scrolls, and make myself feel better. That's my choice, and you guys get more of a show.
So please, don't complain.

Probability only models future events. Whatever HAS happened is of no concern when speaking probabilities.
There are 2 points in time in this picture: Imagine using two 60% scrolls.
- Point A: Before using any: Probability of 2 scrolls passing = 36%
- Point B: After using one: Probability of 2 scrolls passing have 2 distinct scenarios:
1/ Scroll 1 passed: 60%
2/ Scroll 1 failed: 0%
- Point C: After using both scrolls: Probability of those 2 scrolls succeeding: uh... what?

The problem is that whichever point you stand at, you STILL think that the initial probability remains true and take it into account. This is true prior to any event; After certain points? No, not really.
The chance of success for an already-failed scroll is 0%.

If this makes more sense to you, think of multiverse.
Each time you use a scroll, the universe splits into 2, in one of which you passed it, the other you didn't. (or rather 5 universes and 3 of which passed, 2 failed)
In the end, you will have a certain number of universes BUT you're traveling down a single one and whatever's in the other have no bearing to what you have now.

With that said, I've landed two consecutive 10% scrolls on the first two slots of an overall, so I don't find landing one on the 4th try very convincing of dummy scrolling working. Of course, it could, for all I know, but that would have NOTHING to do with probability, more likely something in the coding of scrolling success.
Though, the overall outcome is indeed nice, and congrats for that.
