Oh, and dat Ashe.
Eh I dunno, I think they're probably all pretty good players, but they got outplayed and outpicked I think. Some of it was comp, some of it was player skill, but it was pretty obvious that unless they shut down top or mid, things weren't going to end well for OGB. Bot lane, even with Blitz + Taric cc combo, isn't good against Cait + Support. She's going to outrange them and pick at them, while they're relying on her getting into a position where they can stun + grab + knock up . . . except neither of them had the damage output necessary to kill her doing that, or to harass her enough to force a b. Then you have Malzahar, who is a great champ, but Zilean can ult through his damage output and bomb minion waves just as fast as Malz can clear them, so worse case scenario it's a tie, and best case, he gets shut down because Zilean can be more aggressive than him and hurt him from a distance. Then there's Irelia top against Ashe, which was a bad choice as well imo. Ashe is a great kiter, but Irelia is a great gap closer/burster, and if Ashe chases her to the tower, she's out of position and free gold for Noc. And of course, Noc vs Amumu, Amumu is great, but he's not nearly as good of a ganker as Noc is, and he really showed that with how few ganks he attempted. With no pressure top lane, and barely any pressure mid and bot, things weren't going to end well for their team. Overall it seems to me that CDE showed they were worthy of qualifying, and OGB will have to rethink it's strategies/team comp a bit if they face them again.
