The way they set it up is what forces them to not give anything worthwhile.
If they gave anything of even the slightest value, like say a random 60% scroll, the login server would crash a minute or two after midnight, as everyone tries to log in all mules to gather as many prizes as possible. As it is, people will just try for the chair on their main character(s) and not bother with mules, giving more people a chance at these delectable potions.
And of course many people who contributed will get nothing. But to be fair, I am going to guess many of them don't play Maple at all. They just have a friend that does who told them "please Like this page so I can win a prize" and they did.
