The best things about Zelda are its puzzles and dungeon designs. But it's missing the spirit of the adventure game these days which is a shame because it essentially created the genre.
I liked twilight princess scenario. Best Zelda's storyline in my opinion. But I agree the latest games (phantom hourglass/spirit track) were REALLY disappointing storyline-wise. I hope Skyward Sword doesn't disappoint me...
