I don't know if the chance of normal ones going epic/unique is 5%, but it seems to be around there (between 1 in 50 to 1 in 10, anyway)
So for a cost-per-unique, it's probably better to use 5 regular cubes than 1 premium (if they're 6k for 5 like GMS).
On the other hand, if it goes epic/unique while cubing for 3 lines, that's nice too.
