Only reason my sister and I were able to NOT DC during the event last year was becasue we'd run far away from the massive amount of people and just chill til our side either won or lost, then collect our insignias. Obviously we'd participate during the late hours / early mornings when there would be very little to no people.
Well, she did say how the event can take place on each and every channel. That should help some since not everyone will be on one channel.
