Guardian is 30% chance to block statuses, 40% for attacks. Darkness resistance (or whatever) is 10% HP and 20% chance to block statuses. 30% chance is 10% higher than 20%.
There's also that GUARD skill or whatever to increase survivability and attack if you were trying to discount survivability but i don't think you were. % attack would be so broken for a pallahero. >_> Also, double warrior HP vs shad+hero. Pallahero would probably have 40k+, shadhero probably ~30k.
