I'm gonna lump the combat and the jumping/flying into one thing since they're both part of overall character control. I think it's cool, but it doesn't really strike me as particularly innovative.
Being meticulous to add in a seperate unique reaction to any action, dependent on the character is pretty innovative. As I said, I can't even think of a game that shares the same perks as this does. By the way, the fighter does use real life martial art's, it's just over the top in power and flexibility. I'm not sure what the other classes may use, outside of mage, but I'm sure, much like ruroni kenshin, there's martial art techniques for specific weapons.
