It has a range of 600, which is about average as far as ability ranges go. Champs like Ashe and Anivia have an auto-attack range of 600, and certain people have spell cycles that have an even greater range (Anivia's FB is 650). If Zilean tries to bomb the wrong people, he lands in a world of hurt. That said, Zilean is one of the strongest early game champs.

Riot thinks that Janna and Zilean are the top supports at the moment and they are role models. Janna is in a good spot (albeit really squishy), but Zilean is frustration in a can. Personally, I think Zilean's ult lasts too long and it is indeed very annoying, nevermind the fact that he can save someone with his uber MS buff/debuff.
