I can run across water in WoW. I can't jump in the air and start flying, but I have a flying mount. Rotations are more complex than simply mashing one button. Monsters have unique abilities. And I haven't played Aion or Rift, but I'm pretty sure those are all present in those games as well.
Don't get me wrong, I think the game looks really great, but you're finding fascination in things that are standard features in any halfway decent MMO that has come out in the past 7-8 years. MMOs aren't about little features, they're about execution. I don't care how cool the combat system in this game is, someone will figure out the best rotations for different situations within a few days of each balance patch and I'll be bored of grinding random mobs anyway. Is this game fun to play with my friends? Is it well balanced? Can the developers keep this game interesting? Is the level of customer service reasonable? Those are the questions I'd be asking before actually playing the game.
I'm aware its western vs eastern but what you havent been able to answer is what other game actually has these things? Every other 'asian' korean MMO is simply a WoW template when it gets down to it, kind of a mod if you will. This one goes beyond that is my point.
