Eh, combined with the ferocious indoctrination of filial piety and obedience, in addition to face giving and being surrounded by this every day, most of the people I know tend not to even be able to see the cruelty that they inflict on themselves and shrug off/wallow in any more.
I know for certain that plenty of schools Iv'e been to don't teach physical education, they simply yell at you and punish you until you do it right/the way they want you to. Or is it like that over on your end, too? I mean, military practices and physical classes seem to be deeply interwoven.
