The Touhou Alliance

I don't know, I felt that Subterranean Animism was much worse than UFO. If it's because of continues in SA being unlimited, then I'll change that to SA being harder to 1CC than UFO. It's actually said that SA is tougher than UFO on Normal, but on Lunatic, UFO is harder than SA. I don't play Lunatic myself, so I wouldn't know. Still, we're talking about recommending it to people who want to start getting into the series, so I'd have to say that UFO is easier than SA if they don't want to immediately leap into Lunatic.

There's only four reasons why I rank UFO harder than SA on any difficulty:
- The UFOs. It divides your attention even more by having you keep track of the position and colors of the UFO.
- Auto-collect. Yeah, the UFOs can auto-collect for you, but it's leagues behind SA's auto-collect system. Not to mention they steal. :/
- Danmaku curtains. Sure, all Touhou games have this, but UFO takes the cake on having the most random of danmaku curtains. For most of the game, you'll find that there's no real pattern to the curtains in UFO compared to past Touhous.
- Curvy. pineappleing. Lasers.

These are probably the only reasons why my Normal 1CC on UFO took much longer than my Normal 1CC on SA.
