@above (Retalion) That is just bad business, it is a good thing you are not running maple. If all you are doing is banning, hackers will keep hacking, and by your standards legits will continue getting banned.
If the legits are stupid enough to let themselves get banned, they probably deserve it.
Jokes aside, you don't need to keep banning people. Just some serious PR that delivers the message should be good enough.
"People, we don't want hacking to continue, so if you, in anyway, are deemed involved with hacking, you will be dealt with accordingly."
With basil and whatnot out there, I'm sure that even a couple tens of cases of serious punishment would adequately educate the mass.
Surely, they WILL always want to exploit, but once the seed of fear has been planted in their mind, it's hard to actually not think twice.
I'd also LOVE to see people getting C&D letters together with some $5000 bills in the mailbox. But that's uh, rather far-fetched.
The general point is that most of the people we have to deal with, hackers and exploiters alike, are merely sheep. Once you've scared enough of them, the rest will follow suit.
The fact that Nexon has kept silent about their way of dealing with exploits in the past 6 years seems to suggest that they frankly don't care at all to me, which I have to admit is a pretty darn good reason in and of itself to exploit the f'uck out of this pomegranate for the sake of exploiting.
