I think the better question is how did he manage to control his hunger and why wouldn't he also instruct Peter on that as well...
Also kind of weird how Peter didn't just magically absorb it from being close. He had to think about it, which he never had to do for other ones like flying...
Oh, and did anyone catch the old dude say Tracy, Nikki, Barbara? I was under the impression from the first 2 seasons that Nikki & Jessica were twins, Jessica died and became a second personality in Nikki? How does this guy not know about Jessica?
