Interesting, as I didn't have to write an essay.
Missouri has this thing known as Bright Flight - score a 32 or higher on the ACT, get $2k per year for up to 4 years of school (went down to $1.5k, but still nice compared to 0 with anything lower). The school also offered me a scholarship based on my academics - when I raised my 29 to a 33, they gave me a lot more money (I believe it went up from 5-6k to about 11k per year). I also go to a private college, which could be why this has no impact for him (I somehow have it in my mindset that he's going to an Arizona state school?).
Either way, great job. A 25 your first time out is awesome.
