I don't understand why people think this is funny.

The man allegedly misrepresented himself in order to get her to marry him. She was not the pursuer in this case, therefore classifying her of a gold digger of any sort is utterly ridiculous. Beyond that, she claims he made her quit her job. SHE WAS WORKING AND WANTED TO CONTINUE WORKING. Finally, he mentally and physically abused her -- yes, forcing someone to do something they don't want to, that is painful or degrading during sex is a form of sexual abuse. Even between married couples.

I don't know how much of what she said is true, but based solely on this article I think the reactions in this thread are pretty disgusting.
