Are the surroundings dark due to the absence of light, or has our hero gone blind for some reason?

In what kind of environment would the floor feel like rock and tile? Where the poop are we? Darkness and dripping to me, sounds like a cave of some sort, but that doesn't explain the smooth, tile-like surface.

What's with you guys choosing to go toward the scream anyhow? :< We all know Kyle has been itching to give SP the BAD END. I BET THIS IS ONE RIGHT HERE.
