Possible archer hero spoiled?

I'd prefer something along the lines of still an archer, but weaker...

HOWEVER, gets stronger with a party, providing buffs, AND something like a special skill where you can borrow self buffs from other classes. Like, if you are near a NL that uses Shadow partner, you get the buff too, or transformation, but with a bow, etc.

Tweak it out a bit, and you get an interesting class.

I think a thief would be better suited for "borrowing" buffs from other classes.

I'd like an archer that was able to summon various animals and such (possibly beginner skills) and have them all gain their own individual levels and skills. Oh and customizable AI on the animals like Final Fantasy XII's Gambit system.
