I'm 100% certain one could if they're experts, and although I'm not fond of what Adura did, I DO have to give him props for being skilled AND have time enough to be able to unearth such things.

This isn't a matter of features available in a bulletin board system where mods/admins are able to read PMs simply because it's a feature built in to the bulletin board software. This is a matter of looking through the database. If you can store something, you most certainly can find it. So to answer your question, you would have to have server access in order to retrieve such information. That is to say, Mods and admins don't have such a capability unless you were a server admin.

Anyway, like willow said, they have no reason to be "predator-hunting". I highly doubt they'd do that.

Nah, it's not as hard as you're describing it to be. He merely installed the forum feature that lets him do that. No need to be an expert or anything.
