It's a bunch of "stages" with different monsters in each one, and the entire party moves to the "next stage". I'm not entirely sure about where they land or anything, but this doesn't seem very "afk friendly", where as back then some of your party members would afk for countless of minutes because it was an okay thing to do. I'm sure absolutely no one minded if they had a couple of afkers in the map, you're not really forced to train the whole entire time and after all it is an extra 50% EXP. Another thing that irks me is how there's a timer to the map, which means that after a while you're set to leave the entire map or "stages" that they had made. Then there's the fact that you're not given a choice to which LHC monster you want to train on, based on all the videos I've seen. What if someone has to leave the party because something came up? No one is now willing to pop in to your map and replace said person.
I'm not overreacting at all, I think the entire thing is retarded.
Basing my statements off:
Spoiler
I've seen how it works but at the same time there are still some things that we just assume because we don't have hands on experience or anything. I think there are still blind spots that we don't know about.
Basically your entire argument is that monster park is bad because it isn't afk friendly? Even though this was exactly what Nexon Korea wanted to eliminate? They made it clear AFKers shouldn't be welcome in their game, even if their existing benefits the group. In fact, the 50% bonus being given through AFKing only encourages those with the funding to clear maps no problem to gather up a bunch of mules and park them on a platform to reap the benefits. Obviously as Nexon tweaks the game to make players stronger this behavior would increase so rather than making it hard to afk or making it disadvantageous, they made monster park. It seems to solve a lot of the downsides the party play system had. Either way, if someone leaves halfway your exp takes a dive. In party play, for the higher end of the spectrum, party play sucks ass with 5 people no HS vs 6 with or without HS. In monster park everyone is there so it's really really hard not to have 6 people. As long as you aren't playing in the dead of night anyway. If someone leaves in the middle either finish the run or just leave grab someone and go back in. It's not like there's any massive penalty to leaving and you aren't really wasting time or a potential valuable reward. With LHC if someone leaves it can at times be significantly harder to find a replacement, especially if you need HS. I can only imagine how ridiculous it's going to be to find a party in future ereve, where the top 5% of the population trains, rather than LHC where a FAR higher volume of players go. With monster park everyone who wants to go will be in CH 1 waiting for a party. Depending on how monster park exp is split, the level difference, and the more important funding difference in a party that could either make or break your exp gain could very well be eliminated. You could be a funded out the ass player playing with weak ass 130- party or the other way around and it might not make a bit of difference. This is certainly WAYYYYY more appealing than party play areas.
But like i said. There are some grey areas and the entire thing isn't even finalized yet, so there's no point jumping to such conclusions.
@ tickets: Those are bought with mesos and afaik have no purchase limit, so i don't even see why the ticket system even exists in the first place except for some kind of meso sink. Big deal.
@ above: Removing the traditional way? You mean like what they did with non-party play zones on LHC release?
(they weren't removed but they're pretty much useless. Same thing really)
