Here's what I think about the reactions.
The reactions... probably are a bit much, I can agree. Maybe even embarrassing. But it's certainly not like that here in NYC or in Pennsylvania. The attitude here, I sense, is more like this...

What Osama Bin Laden did... he hit right close to home and killed thousands of people. I'm a NYCer, and I had to see 9/11 happen right before my eyes along with every other New Yorker and the rest of the world.
So you know what... of course I'm gonna celebrate the fact that a pineappling devil is back where he belongs. In hell. And I'm sure that everyone who lost their loved ones at 9/11 would share a similar bitters-sweet sentiment. But you won't see me putting up fireworks over the fact as again... the crowdsurfing and climbing trees... that's best left to when the Yankees win the World Series again.
But again, let's be realistic. Yay for Obama, I'm sure this will automatically get you to be president again, but I am very worried about the backlash that could occur from this. Osama may have been more of a figurehead, and that there's still a whole network of terrorists we still have to deal with. So sadly, it's not far from over. And despite what other people may think in terms of rights and liberties... nothing's gonna change.
