There's no real honor or valor to being a lolicon. I just do not like seeing them lumped together with other pedophiles. Loli's are not JUST for the sake of the underaged concept of it. I can understand the need to protect children, as I see many children and I feel the need to keep them out of any form of harm as possible. But Lolicon's are not people who interfere with this peace(pedophiles may enter this genre, but the Lolicon's are not to blame, so they must not be confused together.) I'm not saying Lolicon's are special people who are in need of honor. I'm saying they're better off ignored, picking on them is not going to lower pedophilia at all. Saying that ''It will stop SOME people'' is like me saying ''It will PREVENT some people''. While you can argue that Pedophiles may get tempted to take it to the next level after drowning themselves in Lolicon, you can also argue that Pedophiles will stop lusting after REAL children for the outlet of fake anime females(this has actually been stated by some pedophiles who were arrested for reading Lolicon before).
I am not saying they're perfect people, but I have been friends with many people who like Loli's, and they're not even remotely interested in real children. There are many different features to the ''Loli'' body other than the ''under-age'' factor that make them likeable. I have explained this a bit, so it should be a little easy to piece together. Which is why the ''Really 100 years old'' concept is actually much more prefereble for many.
I can understand being creeped out by such a thing, that much is understandable. My goal was never to change Sarah's mind, there are far too many people who think this way, and insult Lolicon's and intermix them with actual pedophiles, changing her mind will not change that. However, that does not mean I can't just sit and not try to defend a completely innocent population. It also annoys me how people say ''Lusting after Pixels is pathetic'', and other ill-informed arguments. Yet when these ''pixels'' portray women who look young, it's suddenly taken as real, as a threat, as something to fear, and something to hate. Where's the logic in this?
There are about 500 more things I can say on this subject, and I can understand a majority of the counter-arguments that will get thrown at me for posting this, so I won't go and post every single reason as this post is probably going to be too large already, and is going to be subject to another flame.
My main point, is that Lolicon's are people who do not need to be brought in as weapons for Anti-Pedophile arguments, they need to be ignored, unless it becomes apparent that REAL children are being seriously harmed from this. I am not a lolicon, but to an extent I do like Loli's. Also, destroying this entire Genre will not stop pedophiles, and most likely will not even halt their process, they will find ways no matter how far you limit them, until eventually you'll have to be fair and eliminate anything and EVERYTHING that can lead a pedophile to be attracted to a child. Therefore, Lolicon does not ''Harm real children'' unless it is made to, but that's only after pedophiles mix in with it.
