More like understanding of. And able to cognitively separate "child molester" from "pedophile". Those terms are not synonyms, in fact, they are nearly as opposite as is possible.
Until you realize this, you probably won't even try to understand any arguments that do not coincide with your own opinions. While that is a normal way to go through life, it can't be all that fulfilling, being constantly filled with stress (even if you can't admit it, it is there) every time someone has an idea that is even remotely in contrast with your own world view. Learn to let things go, then you will start being able to understand things in this world a bit more easily.
