advils are for weenies
First few days, stick to the mashed potatoes, minced meats, ice cream, etc. Then slowly move up the food hardness scale. It took me about two months to get back to where I was before in terms of eating, but I also had an expander and steel rods pulling my lower jaw up to my upper (overbite correction).
They took out the damned expander three years ago or so and my tongue still has cuts in it from the metal.
Think wisdom teeth removal for food, but you advance to less soft foods at a slower rate.
