Trample just helps you push back minions more, not necessarily farming. I don't know the tics and all that stuff, but its low low damage is kinda disappointing. Word on the forums is that Rylai's actually works with Trample, but I have no idea since I don't own Alistar.
I don't know what you are thinking, but RoA is a fairly steep hill to climb in terms of investment and gold required.
If Rylai works with Brand passive why would it not work with trample?
It also works for the 4 tics it does.
