I'm sure I don't need to be telling you this, but not all of them. In fact, the first president to be elected of a political party was John Addams (the 2nd president, after serving as Washington's VP) of the Federalist Party. There were those in those days who favored a powerful federal government and there were those back then who wanted more power to the states. Even today, the conflict is supposedly represented through the Republicans and Democrats, but truth-be-told, it's quite apparent that even the Republicans are in favor of a powerful Federal government now.

You trying to convince the other party's members will no do something about the situation because their minds are made up. All my years observing politics taught me that it's better to maintain a safe distance from political discussion and issues.
I think you're missing the point that it's fun to argue ;D

Clinton was impeached for lying under oath. He broke a law in doing that. What law has Bush broken?

Notice also that Bush willingly invokes the concept of the unitary executive theory which, in his interpretation, says that nothing he does as commander-in-chief can be against the law because that would be "unconstitutional" 8)

Quote:Well at least Nixon was thrown out for the madness that was Watergate. I still don't get how Dubya didn't get into such trouble though.
Actually, Nixon resigned before he could be impeached over all the pumpernickel that he did. Then Ford pardoned him. Lol.
