Nintendo's New Console

games not intended to use it, don't benefit from having it. It actually adds a new hardware element to the entire thing where it detects the position of the remote regardless of it being pointed at the screen. personally i never had any issue with the motion control. but yeah making it mandatory instead of optional would have been great when they were trying to make the most affordable and massively appealing system of all time.

erebus your last post was seriously just a massive pile of what the f'uck and then i got to number 3 and gave up reading your tendency to generalize everything with what seems like virtually zero experience is uh, idiotic.

whatever performance issue either of you may feel the wii has and are going on about i have just two things to remind you of. every single original release ps3 had a goddamn cooling problem/xboxes have for their entire life been notorious for completely failing for no evident reason repeatedly. They made and LED state just for it.

i seriously want you to consider your own point here:

as you are bashing them for making a new more powerful system. you don't "update" systems. it's a retarded greedy ploy to get more money while delivering next to nothing to your consumers. OH a ps2 slim how great it's so awesome i cant wait for this to be obsoleted by the playstation slim plus. or, you know the ps3. release new and updated systems this late in console life is just preying on fanbois (read: here's looking at you playstation and xbox variants 1-1000). It's a pomegranatety money-grubbing concept. Yet, here is you, a consumer, actually demanding it? they don't need a kinect accessory, that came standard. You're essentially on them for innovating instead of being a clone of the other two consoles which copy them so incessantly that nintendo actually develops 2 consoles at a time.

PS3 and 360 never showed off there systems by claiming them to be revolutionary gems of awesome and innovation, more or less they we're playstation 2 + and Xbox + so that's what I expected, and that's what I got. I expect the Wii to meet the expectations they set which is working innovation (and please don't think just because I don't love playing with my Wii that I'm a kinect fan because that's what you seem to be assuming). Also what the hell does the performance of the PS3 and 360 original release style console have to do anything? Are you basically saying those other two suck so "N" should get free pass? I'm sorry but no, there are certain excuses that fly but "everyone sucks and so can I" is not one of them.

I'd prefer hardware upgrade to it's maximum potential, master what you can before move on to the next thing. If all Microsoft did was release the basic service pack upgrade with windows 7 and give a big "pineapple you" to it's consumers by saying "I hope you're happy with it because that's all you're going to get" there would be a riot from every PC fanboy. I in no way expect perfection the first time around, so you need to perfect the technology over time and Nintendo more or less gave a big middle finger to that idea by giving one upgrade that in all honesty made it a "bit better" and by that I do mean a "bit" (also if we're playing corporation grabbing tactics the DS handheld would like to introduce you to it's MANY friends which are the equivalent to Apple and their I-Pods).

out of sheer curiosity, how many wiiware games have you played? If i had to guess i'd say zero. I really don't think you've explored the consoles library at all.

Played it a lot and the experience was lacking, in a basic sense I felt like I was doing nothing more then playing flash games on newgrounds (I didn't exactly shell out nearly $300 for an xbox to play the Indie section, when I meant 3rd party games I meant things like LBG where it lasted me more then 30 minutes ) I come across the occasional something or other that doesn't make me regret spending money on it.
