ShanghaiDizzy Wrote:First off. Welcome back to Maple! I've been on a 3 year hiatus myself (pre-4th job) so I understand how lost you felt upon returning. I'll do my best to brief you.
Thanks a lot!

ShanghaiDizzy Wrote:As it stands, the formula to calculate your total stats is as follows:
[(base * MW) + straight bonus] * total % potential
Be sure to round down.
Base*MW? D:
ShanghaiDizzy Wrote:% Attack increases the total w.atk or m.atk you have by a percentage. % total damage increases your total damage by a percentage.
So %damage is better than %attack?
ShanghaiDizzy Wrote:Upon clicking buy, there's a drop down menu that lets you select other increments.
Yeah, didn't notice until like a second ago... lol
ShanghaiDizzy Wrote:You can either purchase the skill books from the cash shop or hope for a lucky drop. I would recommend the first option as you get bonus allocated in the skill you master with. Unlike Evans though, Dual Blades are a very solid class (feel free to argue about this).
I see... I can charge NX and all but I don't like the idea of wasting 36k on that... :/
ShanghaiDizzy Wrote:The bosses certain do less damage. But thieves and hunters are still recommended to HP wash. However, there's gear existing that increase a percentage of HP (such as Rex Earrings providing 10% more HP) that reduces the amount needed to wash.
About the Hyper Body potential on bottoms someone mentioned can you get it in any kind of bottoms?
ShanghaiDizzy Wrote:Nexon was stupid and removed ore drops 4+ months prior to the release of Chaos. You have to pay a premium if you want to make your weapons now. It's recommended that you straight out buy the weapons you're looking for instead.
Ewwwwwwwwwww. So I'll have to buy rocks 7k each at fm which was what worried me the most...

But I have a new question... new maker thing would be similar to the current system? You will be able to use strengthers and stuff? ;O
ShanghaiDizzy Wrote:No. And as it currently stands, the difference between dexless, low-dex, and normal dex are minimal. Just stack tons and tons of % LUK and you'll be fine.
Provided that you're the average thief, in most cases, each w.atk is equal to 1% LUK. You can probably do the math on that.
Where you cap your dex now doesn't matter because of the %LUK potential. And aside from Lionheart Castle, nearly everywhere you train will have enemies that you'll most likely kill in 2-3 hits. If you want my take, just build your character the way you like.
Thanks a lot to you and everyone else that posted.
Helped a lot!
