Hanabira.Kage Wrote:15/16 episodes is a half-season. It's perfectly normal, and it's usually just to test the waters before they bring in a second season (or very rarely, a remake) which would have the full 24~28 episodes. Sort of like how manga usually have a one-shot published before the actual series is published. Once again, it is by no means abnormal.
REC is an example of an abnormally short anime, with only 9 episodes and each episode being only about 12 minutes long (half the normal duration).
I kinda figured 12-13 episodes was a season...
52 weeks (ish) in a year & 4 seasons - > 13 weeks each * 1 episode per week = 13 episodes max if it's gonna be a 1 season anime. Maybe 12.
That's why I say that 15/16 would be awkward.
And as for that second part, I'm not saying that this is short for an anime.
I was saying 12/13 episodes is normal for a season, but chaos;head felt like it needed about 15/16 episodes maybe to get in what it needed without some of the later parts feeling rushed. If they dragged it out to 2 seasons, it would be a bit too much unless they added in more stuff from the VN... which would end them up in probably the same situation of having to rush a bit to the ending due to episode constraints. You know... attempting to stay with the seasonal showings of anime. Not arguing anything else past that.
