What? The Wii had amazing games, it's just that because Nintendo marketed to everyone and not the "Old Boys Club" that tons of gamers turned a blind eye. And in response, NoA decided not to localize any good games.
No More Heroes (1 and 2), SMB Galaxy (1 and 2), Smash Bros Brawl, Twilight Princess, DKC Returns, Metroid Prime 3, Trauma Series, World of Goo, Monster Hunter Tri, Zack and Wiki, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Muramasa, NSMB Wii, WarioLand, Bit.Trip. series, Okami. These were all good games. Plus there's the unreleased stuff like Xenoblade, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower.
The Wii is capable of dishing out good stuff, but now that the "Hardcore" look through the tinted lens of graphics and power, they dismiss everything that's on the Wii as mediocre. The fact that barely anyone looks at the Wii anymore means they have to restart. Nintendo's major mistake was alienating the core demographic for 2 and half years and they really couldn't pick themselves back up from that. Making a new console has become the only solution, because the last couple of years has proved that no matter how good a game comes out on the Wii, it won't do well. And because devs think games on the Wii won't do well, they go develop stuff for the PS3 and 360.
