Your logic is awful because it is dependent on this ridiculous idea that there will be no conflicts when new data is forced into the old data which is nearly impossible without a real programming team. Which Nexon America doesn't have.
Good point. That's what I think, too, about this kind of stuff. But until they completely fix Cody, and let the testers do more stuff that we're currently able to, we'll have to deal with this.
They should let us buy Cash Items, especially new ones, for free, since.. well, they can be bugged as well. And in fact there were some bugs with them as well, after Big Bang. An example is the old cash item's UI (especially for GMS-exclusive stuff) which was ported from the old version without being revamped for Big Bang.
They're wrong for not allowing us to use the Cash Shop. I'm not saying to give us unlimited NX like back in 2008 (even if it'd probably be a good idea because it'd allow us to test literally EVERYTHING), since there was abuse and all (e.g.: super megaphones), but at least let us buy new NX stuff like in KMST. But really: they could just remove the possibility of buying megaphones and just let us test all cash items.
Also, they should give us free scrolls, miracle cubes, potential scrolls and wheels of destiny when we have to test powerful bosses like Empress Cygnus (the latter was actually done on KMST), so that we can AT LEAST ATTEMPT to test a boss fully by reaching the end of the fight.
Else the test server is almost pointless. What are we even doing there if we can't test properly everything in any way possible? I hate how they just make it look like a teaser (which it probably is), more than a serious test server. Because, if it was the latter, they'd have done the above-mentioned things long ago.
I still remember back in 2008 when they opened Tespia to test level 200 quests and HornTail.. too bad, we were only allowed to reach level 162, and, on top of that, we got no scrolls or powerful stuff we could attempt to HT with. Maybe only one group was able to reach a good part of it, but still nobody was able to kill it. Isn't that just pointless?
Well, it looks like they want to follow the tradition, because that's what keeps happening in every single Tespia round.
And maybe I can also suppose why. They probably don't want it to look too much like a private server (and you know which ones I'm talking about), but on the other side they really should allow testers to do more things and give us the chance to REALLY test everything properly, which they still haven't done.
