It's similar to what I did, I solely used my red whip throughout all the farming as it gives +speed and the weapon speed is better than my main weapon by far. You could use the Maplemas Lights if you still have it, gives +Speed and is fast(4).

SD only beats ACB by 32% damage, least according to JoeTang, which can be very negligible if you want to think about it. The range is definitely a major plus since it's rather big AND it hits from behind.
