I really tried to do this, but it was never a safe time. Id go off when i knew they were all mid and then suddenly they'd all be missing and i know they were going for me so id immediately back off. I got 2 towers from doing it but then they'd just push mid really hard and we had no effective team comp to stop it. Did i say our Nasus said he was going tank, yet the only item he had that could even be considered tanky was an Aegis..
I dunno if we could have had a turn around, because once the enemy team got our inhib, our Nasus and Brand quit for some reason so we had to surrender. I do realise now that i should always be pushing when the enemy are in other lanes, and i should probably get an oracles when i start doing it to be on the look for wards..

you more than likely will fight a team that is experienced together as a group.
I generally stick to 4man premades for the win, only 1 moron to worry about.
That explains a lot if im quite honest.. I didnt know anyone in our room but one, so i had no experience haha. I made sure to lane with my friend because i knew she would have some clue to help when i initiate.. but it didnt happen.
Not to rag on my friend, but she plays champions that should be getting a lot of kills but hides for teamfights. Like she played Malzahar in this 5v5 and i didnt see her ult once. She would literally hide far back and then maybe put down a pool on the minions in a lane while everyone else is trying to get rid of the champions pushing our lane lol :l
