Now what you seem to be saying that Nexon America shouldn't give a rats ass about anything outside US/Canada in a game that was supposed to be MapleStory GLOBAL.
It's same as if eMS changed to MapleStory Germany and blocked all other countries from playing the game. Nexon can't just ignore the fact that we have our history in gMS, we have our characters in gMS, we buy nx from gMS and our friends are in gMS.
It is not about what timezone they should prefer, it's that it's so easy to work around the timezone problem for anything but server checks.
2x events: Create event coupons that are manually activated, but expire inside 24h (how is this coded? Give everyone a box and when mapler clicks it, they receive a 2x card (activated the moment they get it).
Hot time: 2 Hot time events at different times. Make it so that only 1 hot time can be made inside 24 hours.
Key word there being "was". It may have been at one point, but it isn't now, and it hasn't been for a very, very long time now. Just because it was at one point doesn't mean they should cater to such a small portion of the community.
Because, there isn't any real reason to. Again, this is Nexon America here that we're talking about. Not Nexon Korea, not Nexon Japan, not Nexon Europe, not AsiaSoft. Their games are now and have been for quite some time created for North America. About 3/4th of their player base is based in North America. Not sure where you got this con voluted idea that it was supposed to always be a global version, either. That makes no sense. There were 6 other versions of MapleStory that went live before our Maple, it was never going to be nor supposed to be a global version forever.
It wouldn't really be a x2 event then. While I personally prefer the idea of having a x2 card to use at any time because it has several more actual applications than just allowing most Non-North American players to use it, I can see why they don't give them out anymore.
As far as Hot Time events go, with that logic there should be 4, maybe 5 Hot Time events. No matter how many events you hold, somebody is going to be cut out of the equation because of the time zone differences. Plus, something like this would allow people to use other accounts to participate in the other Hot Time events, after already participating in others.
It makes no sense to do so much more work for something that would only benefit small portions of the community.
